Privacy Notice

Wayfinder is a recruiting tool that helps people find roles and helps recruiters manage outreach. This notice explains, in plain terms, what information Wayfinder handles and how it is used. It is provided for transparency and describes our current practices; it is not a contract, and it may be updated as the product evolves.

Information we handle

• Account and sign-in information. When you sign in — including with Google — we may receive basic account details such as your name, email address, profile picture, and account ID. We use these to create and manage your account, authenticate you, and personalize your experience.
• Information you provide. If you upload a résumé or build a profile, we store the content you provide so we can match you to roles and present you to potential employers at your direction.
• Gmail data (only if you connect Gmail). Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect it, Wayfinder uses read access to identify and track recruiting-related email threads on your behalf, and compose access to prepare email drafts for you to review and send. Wayfinder accesses only what is needed for these features and does not read or store unrelated mail beyond what those features require.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate and improve the core features of the service: authentication, role matching, presenting candidates to employers, and recruiting-related email tracking and drafting. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data and Limited Use

Wayfinder's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not transfer it to others except as necessary to provide or improve the features you use, to comply with applicable law, or with your consent.

Your choices

You can disconnect Gmail at any time from your account menu, which revokes Wayfinder's access. You can also delete a profile you created. If you would like data associated with your account removed, contact us using the address below.
